European Conferences United was established in 2002 at the initiative of various European stakeholders prior to the accession of the new member states to the European Union in May 2004.
The company was created to achieve several objectives that contribute to the healthy growth and development of several of the new Member States;
While the previous objectives remained valid during the years a new objective has been added;
"Together with our partners we are changing the lives of people for a better, more comfortable and much more pleasant and healthy environment to live in. We are fulfilling our mission by connecting people to grow businesses, careers and communities."
I look back with great pleasure on the 20 years in which we have been able to connect people to grow in the markets in which we operate.
While the company's goals have of course remained the same, a lot has changed over the years and I would like to highlight one change that I personally appreciate. While at the beginning of European Conferences United the focus was on bringing external knowledge to the markets we serve, we now clearly see that many new developments also come from innovative companies operating in the internal markets we serve. In many areas, companies have become more advanced, and these developments can and should serve as great examples for any company in the world!
As long as there are important issues, it is important to come together and share the knowledge that exists within a market, and also across the different markets, we serve. Obviously in 2022 there are many reasons to come together; rising energy and food prices are now having a major impact on household consumption, and economic uncertainty threatens to stifle investment. Supply chains are being disrupted due to the pandemic and war, and no one doubts that ESG and sustainability developments need to be accelerated. All of these matters require smart solutions, and by learning from each other, we can innovate faster!
So with great joy and passion we continue to do what we are great at; Connecting people to grow!
